About the Author:
Peter George, the author of this Swiftian/ Orwellian dark comedy, lives in Ipswich in England. This is his first novel, and he's currently writing a number of other books that follow the thought-provoking yet simplistic style of The Golden Cube.
Excerpt from the book:
"The Headmaster could be very anxious about my being hungry. "Oh yes. Oh yes," Cluebit said, sitting me down. "My name is Adolf Hitler, and I could break your neck." The supreme high school official tightly gripped that part of me without my being choked. His estimation of non lethal pressure proved to be accurate. "A killer robot has got to do what a killer robot has got to do," he observed. "Your favourite machine is about to feed you. Look at me, child. The bullies sprayed my silver grey bulk with yellow paint. They removed the titanium codpiece from my workaday nudity. That is what the male droids did: no droid-surgeon has ever granted me grand tech stony plums, neither would a robot arm poor Jack with a grand tech carrot from the grand tech field."
